- Reviews (if enabled): username, rating, review text

- Analytics: page views, referrers, device type (via privacy-friendly analytics — no cross-site tracking)
- Cookies: session cookies for functionality; analytics cookies if you consent
2. How we use your information
- To process and display tool submissions
- To respond to contact form messages
- To improve the directory (aggregate analytics only)
- To detect and prevent abuse
- To send transactional emails (submission confirmation, listing updates) — never marketing without explicit consent
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site (session management). We may use analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns — these are set only after consent where required by law.
Affiliate partner sites may set their own cookies when you click an outbound tool link. We have no control over those cookies; consult the relevant partner's privacy policy.
4. Third-party services
- Hosting: Vercel — servers in the US and EU. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Database: Neon (PostgreSQL) — data stored in the US. See Neon Privacy Policy.
- Analytics: We use a self-hosted or privacy-first analytics provider that does not use cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
5. Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months then deleted. Server logs are retained for 30 days. Tool listing data is retained indefinitely while the directory is active.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@allsoftwaretools.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a policy change constitutes acceptance.
